What to expect at your first visit to The Garden
New to The Garden? New to any of this? Here is everything you need to know before you come — and why you do not need to prepare anything at all.
You have booked a session. Maybe a sound bath, maybe something you have never tried before. Maybe you are a little nervous. That is completely normal, and you are already in the right place.
Before you arrive
There is nothing you need to bring, nothing you need to prepare, and nothing you need to know. Come as you are. Wear comfortable clothing. Avoid caffeine if you can (it can make relaxation harder). Eat lightly — a heavy meal before lying down is not ideal.
When you arrive
The Garden is a rooftop space in Shekou. The exact address is shared when you book. Arrive five to ten minutes early so you can settle without rushing. You will be welcomed and shown where to put your things.
During the session
Every session is different, but the thread is the same: you are guided, held, and given permission to simply receive. There is nothing to perform, no right way to feel, and no expectation of experience. Some people cry. Some people sleep. Some people feel nothing dramatic at all. Every response is the right response.
After the session
Give yourself a few minutes before rushing off. Drink water. Move slowly. Some people feel deeply rested. Others feel emotional. Some feel lighter than they have in weeks. Let whatever is there be there.
The gentlest first step
If you are not sure where to begin, a group sound bath is the easiest entry point. Nothing to do, nothing to know, just lie down and let the vibration carry you. From there, the garden will show you what comes next.
All sessions in English. All hearts welcome.
