A hip opening yoga session with Jane. Deep holds, breath led movement, and the release that follows.
The hips hold more than we realize. Tension from long days of sitting, stress the body never fully processed, emotion stored quietly in the tissue. Hips That Flow is an invitation to meet all of it with breath, patience, and care. Guided by Jane, this session moves through deep, supported holds and breath led movement designed to open the hips slowly and safely. Feel it as space returning to the body: the low back softens, the breath drops deeper, and layers of tension you did not know you were carrying begin to release. Long holds speak directly to the nervous system, signaling that it is safe to let go, and the body responds in kind. Each session builds gradually, from gentle warming movement into deeper stillness, closing with rest so the body can absorb the space it has created. You will leave feeling lighter, more open, and more at home in your body. Practices that bring you back to baseline.
This session welcomes everyone, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. It is especially supportive for anyone who spends long hours sitting, carries tension in the hips or low back, or is longing to move with more ease. All levels are welcome, and every pose can be supported with props to meet your body where it is. No flexibility is required. That is what the practice is for.
A bottle of water to stay hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing that allows the hips to move freely. Mats, blankets, bolsters, and props are provided.
